| I love the flash of blue that catches the eye as a bluebird takes flight. If you have a soft spot for these birds (like I do) then perch one of these pins on your shoulder and catch everyone's eye as you flutter about your day. I was out at Fossil Butte National Park (Kemmerer, WY) one day and the bluebirds were a little twitterpatted (actually they were really twitterpatted). They were darting in and out of various places but one in particular kept going in and out of the hubcaps of a nearby truck. It was fascinating to watch and I spent the good part of an hour just observing. It just made me smile, it was one of those moments when you get to slow down take a deep breath and truly enjoy nature. I have attached a few pictures of the event but they really don't do it justice.
Take time to get out into our National Parks, Forests and Prairies they calm the soul and soothe the mind. A heartfelt "Hello" to the girls at Fossil Butte keep up the good work! |
