Rock Piles - These playful earrings remind me of little rock cairns you see piled alongside trails. How fun to have two colors stacked on top of each other to wear while out hiking or shopping around town. This style is subtle but adds great definition to a casual outfit. So, ladies hit the trail or the road and do it with a little pile of style!
I asked my husband to come up with a name for this style as I had no creative juices left that day and his reply was… “Looks like a rock pile to me.” He had been building a rock wall in our yard and we seem to grow more rocks than anything else so we went with that. Rock piles it is!
*Cairn [kern] (noun) – 1. Pile of stones used as a marker – a pile of stones set on a hill or mountain to mark a spot for walkers and climbers.
The glass used to make these earrings comes from broken bottles, stained glass shards, and various bits of other found glass. Each pair is approximately1 ¼“long and the findings are sterling silver. Shape, size and color of glass vary slightly as each pair is unique.
