Vintage Salt and Pepper Shakers filled with colorful recycled green glass. My girlfriend Chrie was looking at my Christmas tree one day and she exclaimed, "where did you get these salt and pepper shakers?" I told her I had picked them up at the local secondhand store and thought they would be lovely filled with tiny bits of glass hanging on the tree. I thought they would catch the light and add a unique bit of charm. I'm going on and on and she starts to sigh....the kind of sigh/groan you let out when you put something down at a garage sale only to have someone else pick it up when you decide you really do want it, argh!! Come to find out she had taken them into the local store after holding on to them for several years. She had no idea what to do with them and let them go only to have me pick them up and create a dazzling new ornament with them, which she just happened to see when gazing upon my tree, argh! Well, from that moment on I decided they were a hit and I had to make more, lots more, but above all else I had better make her some! Believe it or not I found some just like hers and made her a set to hang on her tree, (she no longer has to stand in front of my tree cursing me and saying, "now why didn't I think of that")!
